Global Citizen Fashion Collection Previews 2 Weeks Before Festival

While Central Park will serve as the hot spot for the annual Global Citizen Festival on Sept. 26, all attention shifted on Sunday evening to Pier 59 Studios. That’s where Nolcha shows, producer of runways for indie designers, previewed this year’s Global Citizen Festival 2015 fashion line, a highlight of their “Ones to Watch” event during New York Fashion Week.

The Global Citizen movement’s goal is to end extreme poverty worldwide within the next 15 years, and it has partnered with organizations such as The Hunger Project, The Earth Institute and UNICEF. Its platform serves to inform the public and encourage people to take supportive actions, like contacting one’s senator, signing petitions or getting involved via social media. Such activities also allow prospective festival attendees to earn points towards admission.

Four campaign managers from the non-profit Global Poverty Project (GPP) modeled an array of casual merchandise on Sunday, all reflecting Global Citizen’s cool style. They sported a limited edition collection of Aviator Nation tank tops, hoodies, sweatshirts, and hats. With the purchase of these conscious goods, available on Sept. 26 online and at the festival, consumers and concertgoers can also display their support since proceeds benefit GPP.

Four limited edition t-shirts are also part of the collection, one for each of the Global Citizen Festival’s headliners: Beyoncé, Pearl Jam, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay. Even though Beyoncé sometimes unveils her new music without advance notice, only her “Bey Good” tee was revealed on Sunday. (The Beyoncé and Pearl Jam tees will be sold exclusively at the festival, while the Coldplay and Ed Sheeran tees are also available now at H&M stores nationwide.)

The blockbuster concert is the main event later this month, and another worldwide rock star that has also inspired promotional merchandise will only be a short train ride away. Though Pope Francis will be concluding his New York City visit and heading to Philadelphia just before Sept. 26, he’ll still be at Central Park in spirit to support the worthwhile cause.

Fit Guide
Please note that due to the intense wash and dye processes we use some products  will come out different than others. If you ever get a item that does not fit you perfectly we will gladly exchange it for you as many times as it takes until you are satisfied.
Hoodies and Crewneck Sweatshirts
Aviator Nation hoodies and sweatshirts are unisex. Yes, this means you can steal your boyfriend's hoodie and never think twice about rocking it. It also means that our sizing is unique. In general our hoodies run a bit small for men and a bit big for women.

Unisex Tees

The unisex tees run true to size for women and a bit small for guys, so guys order a size up if you are unsure.

Sweatpants are gender specific. It's not uncommon for women to get men's sweatpants as they have pockets and offer a looser fit.
